Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door
Advance tickets holders will be allowed admittance to the event 30 minutes early.
Buy your ticket before March 29, and be one of the first in line for free beer and crawfish!
Also, be one of the first 200 people through the door and recieve a Crawfish Boil koozie!

Doors will open at 4:00 pm for general admission.  Tickets will be $40 at the door.

If your company wants to buy 30+ tickets, you get a discount rate of $30/ticket

There will be TV's so you can catch the March Madness!

Parking $5.  If you park in the back lot, $2 will go to MDA!

Event Background & History

Crawfish!The event was started to get up and coming professionals more involved in their community. MDA wanted to reach out to a new audience and spread the word about its program services. The event was also an easy, affordable and entertaining way for the community to help people living with neuromuscular diseases.

  • Past Location: The Firehouse Saloon and Blanco’s
  • Past Bands: Local Texas Country bands including FCo, Anytown, Jimmy & David Lee Kaiser, Wade Bowen & Gary P. Nunn
  • Past Attendance: 252 people in 2004, 291 people in 2005, 563 people in 2006 and 750 people in 2007.
  • The location was near capacity. The new venue will provide more space.

$200 Professional fees related to initial diagnostic work-up at an MDA clinic

  • 76.4% of every dollar MDA spends goes directly to research, health care services and education.
  • In 2007, the MDA Houston Gulf Coast Chapter will be spending more than $2.2 million on research conducted in the Texas Medical Center and Texas A & M University.
  • MDA maintains hospital-affiliated clinics at the Texas Children’s Hospital and Methodist Hospital – our MDA/ALS center.
  • MDA clinics are staffed by teams of top health professionals skilled in the diagnosis and medical management of neuromuscular diseases. Services provided at MDA clinics may include occupational therapy, selected diagnostic tests, genetic counseling, respiratory therapy and more.
  • Every summer more than 100 children with a neuromuscular disease attend a weeklong barrier-free summer camp in Burton, Texas. The camp is free for families served by MDA. The kids call it the “best week of their life.” Over 150 volunteers give a week of their time to serve as MDA camp counselors.
  • MDA provides services for 43 different neuromuscular diseases including Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), Charcot-Marie Tooth, Myotonic Dystrophy & Mysathenia Gravis.
